Hunter

Hunter is a skill in Alora that unlocks the ability to hunt birds, chinchompas and various implings.

Starting Out

To start out, you can buy supplies from the Hunter Expert in the Edgeville General Store.

Trap hunting

Birds

Currently the only bird available to be hunted is the crimson swift, available at level 1 hunter. Found at the Feldip hills, the fastest way to access these is via the Teleport Wizard. These require bird snares to catch, available from the hunter supply store at the General store.

Chinchompas

There are currently 3 different chinchompas available, grey, red and black.

The grey chinchompas are huntable in the donator zone.

The red chinchompas are huntable in both feldip hills and donator zone.

The black chinchompas are only huntable in the wilderness, you can access these via the Teleport Wizard

Puro Puro

Puro Puro is a home to various implings. These require a Butterfly Net or a Magic Butterfly Net, bought in the Hunter Expert or the store at the teleport respectively. Catching these with a Butterfly Net requires Impling Jars whereas the Magic Butterfly Net does not.

Catching implings grants you with jars that you can open for various rewards.

Leveling Guide

Level 1-17/63

Starting out hunter, the only option is to catch birds in Feldip Hills. To do so, purchase bird traps and set them up in Feldip Hills. Birds will land in them and you will gain experience. You have the choice of switching to Puro Puro at level 17 or continuing all the way up until level 63.

Level 17-63

Up until 63, you have the option of catching implings at Puro Puro. It is highly advisable to purchase a Magic Butterfly Net so you don't have to carry around jars.

Level 63-73/99

The best option at this point is to catch red chinchompas at the "Red Chinchompas" teleport or the donator zone. In order to catch these, purchase box traps and lay them near the chinchompas. You have the choice of continuing this to 99 or venturing into the wilderness at level 73.

Levels 73-99

Starting level 73, you are able to catch Black Chinchompas in level 32 wilderness. Note that this is dangerous and you can die. The mechanics are similar to catching red chinchompas. These offer the fastest xp but the highest risk.
